The City of Alpharetta is a suburban community located outside of Atlanta proper. The current “skatepark” at Union Hill Park is a slab with minimal DIY-style features. The entire park was being reenvisioned by landscape architecture firm, DIX-HITE, and they reached out to Platform for the skatepark-specific design. The result is a modest-sized community skatepark that was fit into a formerly underutilized space. With a solid variety of street obstacles and quarter-pipes that create a mini-ramp, Union Hill Park will now be a destination for both locals and visitors alike.
