- Square Footage: 16,000
- Partners: Belmar, NJ and Pro Skateboard Shop
- Design Completion: July 2023
Designed with adaptive and neurodivergent riders in mind, this project was championed by local advocate, Anthony Ferraro. Anthony is a blind skateboarder who competes and advocates for more inclusive skateparks. The design not only meets the needs of all users, but also responds to unique site conditions. Platform was not permitted to disturb the base material, so the entire park was engineered to sit above the existing grade. It’s a great example of how thoughtful design can adapt to both community needs and environmental constraints. Belmar, NJ is currently fundraising to bring this concept to life.
