Every skateboarder dreams of a private backyard skateboarding paradise. When the concept is guided solely by the resident, the design direction is limitless. This backyard dream initially began as a concrete hybrid-bowl featuring hips, ledges, and a small section that went to vert. Just before we went to the construction documents phase, the owner pivoted to “the perfect mini-ramp.” We completed the mini-ramp design and CDs, then partnered with Front Rock for the permitting and build. However, the owner then decided to move. The dream is currently on hold, but ready to become a reality at any time.
