- Square Footage: Three skateparks at a total of 38,500
- Partners: Moreno Industries, Roque’s Concrete and Construction
- Project Completion: Consulting, October 2023 - Repairs, Summer 2024
Platform was contacted by Hillsborough County for consultation on repairs needed at the following skateparks:
- Providence Skate Park in Brandon, FL (11,000 sf)
- Apollo Beach Skate Park in Apollo Beach, FL (14,500 sf)
- Jackson Springs Skate Park in Tampa, FL (13,000 sf)
Each park was visited and evaluated. Then an extensive report was compiled and submitted to Greg Brown, the Parks and Athletics Service Manager at Hillsborough County Parks and Recreation. We identified areas requiring immediate attention and provided recommendations for ongoing maintenance. Platform also proposed improvements aimed at enhancing safety and boosting community use of the parks. The repairs were ultimately executed by skatepark builder, Chris Roque. Chris worked under Moreno Industries, who has a continuing services agreement with the County. This small project was of special interest to Platform for a couple of unique reasons. One, our lead designer and founder, Tito, designed all three skateparks during his tenor at Team Pain. And two, Jackson Springs is just a couple of miles from Platform’s HQ in Tampa.
