Hayden, Colorado

This was our initial design concept for Hayden, Colorado that was used for a public input meeting.

Orangeburg, South Carolina

On July 12, 2023 we conducted a Design Input Meeting at the Orangeburg City Council Chambers. The Platform team collected technical and general input for the future skatepark. We also conducted an online survey to capture further input from members of the community that were unable to attend the Meeting. View the survey results here. Site boundaries and underground issues were then brought to our attention. Applied, stakeholder, municipal, and site conditional input were all taken into account to deliver the updated design. This design was used for the final input meeting. Version 1 is also below.

Upper Darby, Pennsylvania

Marathon, Florida

Park Circle, South Carolina

Park Circle, situated in the northern region of Charleston, South Carolina, encompasses a collection of diverse towns surrounding the city. Known for its vibrant and rapidly evolving nature, this area has become a hub of active and culturally rich communities, making the need for a skatepark essential.

Leading the local advocacy group, Shawn spearheaded Park Circle Skate, aiming to advocate and educate recreation departments about the importance of well-designed skateparks. They successfully secured a design grant from Plant a Park, a nonprofit organization, allowing Shawn to collaborate with the skate committee, manage public input, and contribute to the design development team.

Additionally, Platform Group donated our concept design services you see here. With the two cities of Park Circle and Hannahan expressing interest joining forces to create a proper skatepark, there's a promising prospect for this project to come to fruition. We're excited to share the concept created in partnership with Park Circle Skate, Plant a Park, and the participation of both Park Circle and Hannahan.
